Dating fun blondes
That test was to take place on Tinder, the behemoth of dating apps. I had 101 matches, meaning just over half of the men I swiped on swiped on me too.
To make this experiment as fair as possible, I set up the following ground rules: 1) I would spend three days using photos of me as each hair colour 2) I would start a completely new profile each time, so my prior use of Tinder before the experiment wouldn’t affect results 3) To get a fair sample, I would swipe right 200 times for each in the same location 4) I wouldn’t message my matches first as I wanted to measure matches vs actual people talking to me And once those were decided, I was ready to get swipe-happy. So, 10 per cent of those who matched with me ended up messaging me.
As if somehow your hair colour dictates how much you will enjoy life.
But, as a former natural blonde, I’ve never paid that much attention to all that.
So began the conversations, and I hate to say it but it was very tame affair – hardly any of the poorly thought-out sexual innuendos, come-ons or requests for dick pics that Tinder has become so famous for. In one I’m dressed up for Halloween and pulling a pose. On the upside, I looked far more likely to find someone to have a real conversation with when I was brunette – like the guy who was interested in my work. If you think your hair colour is fabulous, or even if you don’t, but you just like being you, then who cares what other people think.
As my friend put it: Swedish blond bombshells may be tough and viking-like on the outside, but they are still soft, delicate women on the inside. PS – I’m well aware that this post constitutes a generalization. Please however comment on something more constructive.First off, if you are man, Swedish, French, American, British, you have to learn how to smooch and booze with those hot Swedish women. Second, it seems that foreign men in Sweden have an advantage over the Swedish men. Here’s what Swedish women think of Swedish men: After reading all these comments you must think, “damn, how do Swedish men and women mate and have lots of babies?” I wonder that too, and I’ll put the blame on the dark swedish winter and the bright swedish summer.I’ve changed my hair colour regularly since the age of 15.Particularly, as my friends have pointed out, after a difficult break-up. So, after the final end of a messy, long on-off relationship in October, I changed my hair colour once more – to brunette, for the first time.
Please don’t comment that I’m stereotyping and stereotyping sucks, wah wah wah. Perhaps why Swedish women have a reputation of being blond/beautiful or why the negative reputation of being “sluts.” Or your experience dating a Swedish girl or being a Swedish girl and dating.
